Spectra Premium exhaust ammonia sensors are located on the exhaust system and precisely measure the ammonia levels in the system. This information is transmitted to the exhaust ammonia sensor module and to the powertrain control module (PCM), where the ammonia levels are analyzed, along with other factors, to ensure that a precise amount of DEF is injected in the exhaust system, to vaporize and decompose harmful emissions. The exhaust ammonia sensors are validated by our in-house team of Canadian engineers, ensuring they meet OE requirements.
